Farm-Fresh Produce For Our Neighbors

Lake Oswego Parks and Recreation has long been donating produce grown by Luscher gardeners to food assistance partners in Lake Oswego—Hunger Fighters and LO Meals On Wheels. In 2023, Friends of Luscher Farm initiated a program to increase Farm donations by encouraging Community Gardeners to donate excess produce from their plots and make more weekly deliveries. We’re happy to report that FOLF’s Harvest Helper volunteers harvested and delivered more than 1,500 lbs of Luscher fruits & veggies to our our local food assistance programs. That’s up from 800 lbs donated in 2022.

Harvest Helpers Signup Form

Harvest Helper volunteers glean Luscher Farm Garden plots, prep harvested produce, and deliver it to the Hunger Fighters food pantry two mornings a week—Mondays and Wednesdays—throughout the growing season (May-Sep). Indicate your day preference in the form. Volunteers are not required to work both days every week, but are encouraged to commit to a regular schedule so we can ensure consistent deliveries.
If you drive an SUV, minivan or small truck and are willing to help make deliveries, please indicate that in the form.

Once you submit your form, we’ll contact you with more info and work with you to ensure a schedule that work for you.
